Alice Robins

Research Executive

Alice is a skilled social researcher with particular interests in the arts, education, and inequality. She is a qualitative specialist with a particular interest in participant-led, semi-structured interviewing. She has worked with clients in several sectors across adult and further education, the museum sector, health, utilities, and local government and recently led the qualitative fieldwork for two projects as part of Unlocking Innovative Potential, a UKRI-funded project led by Innovation Growth Lab at Nesta to evaluate barriers to innovation in the UK, carrying out interviews with further education students in Kent and adult learners in Northern Ireland.

She holds a PhD from the University of York, co-supervised by the Departments of Music and Sociology. Her thesis examined media treatment of female substance use in the music industries.

Outside of work, Alice enjoys running, playing the piano, and traveling to new places.
