Daniel Brownie

Associate Director

Daniel fell in love with research while completing his Masters degree in marketing in New Zealand. He began his research career in Wellington with Kantar Public (now Verian), working on projects across all areas of the New Zealand public sector. He also managed one of the country’s most prominent political polls. Daniel is a mixed-methods research, and is driven by a curiosity to understand what makes people tick. Over time, he has gained vast experience in conducting research relating to the water sector, and to the environment. Some of his favourite projects have included exploring heuristics and behaviours impacting the effectiveness of recycling schemes in New Zealand, as well as research with Ofwat to improve service outcomes for water customers - which was shortlisted for the MRS Public Policy award in 2024.Outside of work, he can be found travelling across Europe, searching for the best hiking spots and a great flat white.
