Sam is an experienced mixed methods researcher, with a specialism in using qualitative research to share the views of underrepresented voices and generate insight that leads to meaningful, lasting change. He has delivered a wide range of high impact projects, including identifying barriers to support and advice for neurodivergent people experiencing problem debt, exploring public attitudes towards patient data uses, understanding behavioural drivers of medication waste, and engaging survivors of modern slavery to inform policy and service design.

Sam has a strong focus on inclusive research practice, ensuring that research processes are accessible and responsive to people from all backgrounds.

Beyond work, Sam can usually be found outdoors running, hiking, gardening or unwinding with a coffee and a good book. He has an MA (Distinction) in Modern History from the University of York.
