Tom Clarkson

Tom leads our Research and Consulting Division. Previously Managing Director at Blue Marble Research and Pye Tait Consulting, Tom has a strong track record of delivering major research programmes across the public, private and third sectors. A mixed method researcher, Tom has led significant published studies on topics as diverse as the future of the UK water sector, Brexit and promoting woodland creation on England's farms. Research overseen or led by Tom has been shortlisted for major industry awards four times in the last five years, reflecting the impact of our work and the innovative methodologies employed.

With degrees from Oxford and Cambridge, Tom began his career in political research, working with numerous media outlets and political organisations to understand the public mood during a febrile decade for British politics - he regularly appeared on Sky News and BBC Radio 4 during this time. In his spare time, Tom plays and watches as much sport as he can - particularly football, running, cycling and golf.
